Privacy Policy

LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process personal data collected during visits to our websites in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data will not be published or unlawfully disclosed to third parties. Below, we explain which data we collect during your visit to our websites and how exactly it is used:

1. Data Collection and Processing for Internet Access

When you visit our websites, our web servers temporarily store each access in a log file. The following data is captured and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved data
  • Transferred data volume
  • Indication of whether the retrieval was successful
  • Identification data of the used browser and operating system
  • Website from which the access originated
  • Name of your internet service provider

The processing of this data serves the purpose of enabling website usage (establishing a connection), ensuring system security, administering the technical network infrastructure, and optimizing the internet offering. The IP address is only evaluated in the case of attacks on the LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH network infrastructure. Beyond the cases mentioned above, personal data is not processed unless you expressly consent to further processing.

2. Orders

If you order informational materials or other goods through our websites, we use the address data provided solely for the purpose of order processing.

3. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

Any use of your personal data occurs only for the specified purposes and to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes. No disclosure to third parties takes place. Transfers of personal data to state institutions and authorities occur only within the framework of mandatory national legal provisions or if disclosure is necessary for legal or law enforcement purposes. No other purposes for disclosure apply.

4. Consent to Extended Use

The use of certain offerings on our website, such as newsletters or forums, may require prior registration and further processing of personal data, such as longer-term storage of email addresses, user IDs, and passwords. We use such data only if you provide it to us and expressly consent to its use in advance. In specific cases, we will ask for your consent separately.

4.1 Newsletters and Press

Distribution Lists To subscribe to a newsletter service provided by LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH, we require at least your email address to send you the newsletter. Additional information is voluntary and will be used only with your consent—for example, to address you personally or clarify any email-related queries. For postal delivery, we need your address details. When it comes to press distribution lists, we require information about the press organization you work for to ensure that an actual press entity is being served. Typically, we use the Double Opt-In process for registration. This means that we will only send newsletters after you confirm your registration by clicking a link in an email we send you, following your initial email address submission. Both the registration and confirmation are logged. This process ensures that only you, as the user of the provided email address, can sign up for the newsletter service. Your confirmation must occur promptly upon receiving our email; otherwise, your registration and email address will be deleted from our database. Until you confirm, our newsletter service won’t accept additional registrations under that email address. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter you’ve subscribed to with us at any time. You can either send us an email or use the cancellation link provided at the end of the newsletter.

4.2 Guestbooks and Forums

To register for an internet forum provided by LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH, we need at least a user ID, a password, and your email address. Registering for such a service, similar to the newsletter process, requires confirmation via an email we send you, along with a link contained therein. Additionally, you may need to consent to the use of further personal data necessary for forum usage. You can cancel the mentioned services anytime by sending us an email through the respective service’s webpage. Guestbooks and forums are generally not subject to content control by LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH. However, we reserve the right to delete entries and exclude users from further use at our discretion—especially if entries violate criminal statutes or conflict with the company’s objectives.

5. Cookies

We typically do not use cookies on our websites. Only exceptionally, we employ functionally necessary cookies that store data for technical session control in your browser’s memory. All these cookies are deleted when you close your browser, except for the cookie containing information about your consent to cookie usage, which has a lifespan of one month. If we ever intend to store personal data in a cookie—for example, a user ID—we will explicitly inform you. Of course, you can view our websites without cookies. However, most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can prevent cookie storage by adjusting your browser settings. Keep in mind that not accepting cookies may limit the functionality of our offerings.

6. Security

LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH implements technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological advancements.

7. Links to Websites of Other Providers

Our websites may contain links to websites of other providers. Please note that this privacy policy applies exclusively to LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH’s websites. We have no control over and do not verify whether other providers comply with applicable data protection regulations.

8. Right to Information and Contact Details

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored about you and, furthermore, the right to correct inaccurate data, block, and delete it. If you are registered as a user with specific services provided by LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH, we also offer you the option to view and, if necessary, delete or modify the data through a user account. If you wish to receive information about your personal data, correct it, or have further questions regarding the use of your personal data provided to us, please contact: datenschutz@lasselsberger.com

9. Inclusion, Validity, and Timeliness of the Privacy Policy

By using our website, you consent to the data usage described above. The privacy policy is currently valid and dated May 25, 2018. As our website evolves or new technologies are implemented, it may be necessary to modify this privacy policy. LASSELSBERGER Group GmbH reserves the right to change the privacy policy at any time with effect for the future. We recommend that you periodically review the current privacy policy.
